David Douglas serves as an Advisor for Tradd Commercial and is experienced in multifamily site selection, retail gap analysis, 1031 property selection and asset management.
Prior to joining Tradd Commercial, Douglas worked as a consultant for a South Carolina 9% tax credit financed affordable housing developer, generating and using his self-developed GIS models to locate extremely rare sites: multi-family zoned land which needed to be in immediate proximity to 11 different types of amenities. This work led to the construction of six separate apartment complexes ranging from 48 to 88 units each. He was also involved in site selection for multiple 1031 exchanges, including industrial complexes and anchored shopping centers. He previously worked with a retail developer assisting in site selection for new construction shopping centers with anchored grocery tenants in North & South Carolina. He is the owner of a patent involving GIS technology.
Douglas is a graduate of the College of Charleston with a Major in Business Administration. He has completed his CCIM coursework and is on track to obtain the CCIM designation. He resides in Myrtle Beach, and attends Mullins Presbyterian Church.
