Michael Black is a commercial & industrial leasing specialist for Tradd Commercial with fifteen years’ experience as a Realtor™. Before that, he worked in commercial insurance and risk management with his family’s State Farm insurance agency.
Mike is a native of Myrtle Beach, having grown up only five blocks away from the Tradd offices. He attended Myrtle Beach public schools, graduating Myrtle Beach High in 1974. Like many natives his age, Mike worked in restaurants and motels from his early teens and eventually drove a delivery truck through his college years.
Mike holds degrees from Wofford College, Duke University and the University of South Carolina. At USC, Mike specialized in documentary & architectural protography as well as audio & video production. In addition, Mike taught studio music production and photography at USC. Mike is an experienced Internet designer and enjoys incorporating multimedia into his real estate listing and marketing materials.
Michael is married to Georgetown native Nadia Rasheed Black, an attorney who serves as an Assistant Solicitor for South Carolina’s 15th Judicial Circuit. They divide their time between Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island. Mike enjoys outdoor activities including paddling his canoe on the Waccamaw River, writing and recording music, and most recently recreational drone photography.
