Scott Darnell serves as a Senior Advisor with Tradd Commercial in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. Beginning his career over 20 years ago, he has been active throughout the Southeast in real estate, economic development, construction and project management roles. He focuses on development, tenant representation, site selection and incentive negotiation. He has participated in over 4 million sq. ft. of development. He joined Tradd in 2020 to continue their growth of commercial brokerage services in the Charlotte Region and throughout the Carolinas.
Scott has been recognized as a TOP 50 Economic Developer nationally in 2018 and received an award from the International Economic Development Council for real estate redevelopment/adaptive reuse. He also has served as an advisor for public/private partnerships and incentive policy development for local governments throughout the Southeast on projects exceeding $1 billion of capital investment.
A licensed real estate broker in North Carolina since 2009, Scott holds certifications in Economic Development (CEcD) from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and the Project Management Institute (PMP). He is a graduate of the University of West Georgia with a B.A. in International Economic Affairs and received an MBA from Gardner Webb University. He is a candidate for CCIM designation.
