Bruce Stankavage

Bruce Stankavage specializes as an investment sales broker for self-storage facilities throughout the mid and south Atlantic region. Bruce began his commercial real estate brokerage career in 1993 in the Raleigh-Durham area and has completed in excess of $200 Million worth of real estate transactions. He has over 14 years of direct experience tied to the self-storage industry ranging from buying and selling existing facilities, to developing and building new sites, to managing existing properties.

Stankavage previously worked with a national commercial real estate firm. Prior to that Bruce co-founded North State Storage in Durham, NC, which was focused on owning, developing and managing self-storage facilities. Asset values grew to nearly $50 million during his leadership tenure.

Prior to founding North State Storage, Bruce worked for McDonald’s Corporation as a Real Estate Manager based out of Raleigh, NC. He performed market analyses, financial underwriting and site acquisition duties for restaurant expansion in North and South Carolina.

Bruce has a Bachelors degree in Economics & Business from Lafayette College in Easton, PA. and earned a Masters degree from The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology based in Seattle, WA. He holds a real estate license in both North and South Carolina, and was a founding board member of the North Carolina Self-Storage Association.
